I. Preparation of 3 English Lesson Days

1. You are free to prepare the lessons, but keep in mind to have a GOOD MIX

• • Mix1: Grammar Unit, Talking Unit, Writing Unit, Reading Unit, Playing Unit, Singing Unit

  • Mix2: Single Work, Pair Work, Group Work, Presentation of the Teacher

  • Media-Mix: Worksheet, Making a Poster, CD, Guitar/Instrument, …

  • PLEASE do NOT use any movies on your laptop in the lessons!

2. Prepare a lesson plan

• Table with Time, Topic, 

3. Collect all the working sheets you need

• • Start to make a folder for yourself where you collect all the ideas that you have

4. Try to make a product!

A product is everything you can show to somebody else:

• Poster - a picture of a poster - made by the participants or by you is a product

• Article for the Camp News

• Movie: the filming of a song that you sing, a presentation, a role game is a product

• Folder: the folders of the children are a product

• Learning Summary: the "Learning Summary" is a product

5. Fill out the LEARNING SUMMARY for 3 days

• • the LEARNING SUMMARY is a product

  • at the end of the camp the parents will have an overview what their children did in the lessons

  • so always remember: the LEARNING SUMMARY is an information for the parents (also for the tutor who gets your group!)

6. Think about a Project for your 2-3 teaching days with your group

• • Making a  Camp News

  • Write a blog about the activities that we can post on the website...

  • A sketch for after Dinner/ the last evening

  • Creating/Making a big poster... presentation in front of the whole group

  • Writing a personal diary

  • the older participants are teachers for the younger ones...

II. Preparation of ONE Afternoon Event –
... when it is raining and you can not leave the house!

The internet is full of ideas and events.

Think about

• • how to form groups (of children)?

  • what is the role of the Tutors?

  • what material, equipment do you need? (the less the better!!)

  • how can you involve the children! (the more the better!)

  • how long does it take?

IV. Prepare ONE workshop that you can lead

• Duration: 1 hour

• indoor/outdoor - where ever you want

• 5 to 25 children
